The Frame Relay Encryptor provides the highest level of security for frame relay networks at clock speeds up to 52 Mbps, and is scalable across a wide range of networks and applications. The Frame Relay Encryptor supports up to 992 simultaneous crypto sessions.
To ensure maximum security, different encryption keys are used for each virtual circuit or DLCI. Each Frame Encryptor identifies other Frame Encryptor units and will not accept frames from unauthorized sources. Once a connection is established, data is encrypted as it flows between nodes.
High performance is achieved by encrypting only data portions of network traffic. The header information is left intact, enabling traffic to flow over any private or public frame relay network.
The system Supports 4,096 byte maximum frame size (1024 Permanent virtual circuits).
