The New Low Speed Data Link Encryptor "STN-SEC-DL" is an exciting new development that offers operation on the limited bandwidth networks. Data Link Encryption system is ideal for DAMA and VPN operation and combines flexible encryption with efficient networks at transmission speeds from 2.4-64 kbps. Link becomes active immediately on establishment of a connection, with visible confirmation of the LED status.

"STN-SEC-DL" operates 'in -line' between Voice interface Unit and the network DCU to provide complete end-to-end Voice communications for DAMA VSAT Networks.

In case of Data Communication it can be placed between the data flow over the channel. Two RS232C/DB9 connectors provide the physical interface. Data Link Encryptor features extended key load, and built in self-test software. Configuration uses a standard PC and each unit can be loaded with up to 13 Keys.

Each Key can be automatically expanded for 100 additional update keys and the unit can be at scheduled intervals ensuring that the regular key changes can be performed smoothly with no operator involvement.

The encryption engine is provided by a system algorithm (key length 128 bits), Which can be easily replaced by the customer's own algorithm.

"STN-SEC-DL" can be tailored to the most stringent government requirements. Traffic encryption uses one-time session keys generated by a hardware random number generator. A full suite of network support tools is available to Assist management of "STN-SEC-DL" networks.
