Problem :

A country’s intelligence agency faced a significant challenge when it received a tip-off from a confidential informant about the criminal organization’s illegal use of satellite phones. The criminals had resorted to employing satellite phones as a means of communication to ensure utmost secrecy and evade detection by conventional communication monitoring methods. A major concern for the agency was to monitor and intercept satellite phone communications.

Solution:

Stratign collaborated with the agency to develop a highly customizable satellite phone interception system capable of intercepting communication from Thuraya, Iridium, and ISAT Phone Pro satellite phones simultaneously.

Upon activating the system, advanced ground stations equipped with powerful antennas commenced scanning a wide range of satellite communication frequencies. The system automatically started to intercept, decode, and decrypt the Voice, SMS, and Text Traffic from the targeted satellite phones. Using the digital map, the locations of the targets were traced.

Additionally, the system’s powerful Link Analysis Tool began to discern call patterns, facilitating deeper insights into communication networks. The Voice Forensic Software gathered information about the target through Speaker Identification, Language Identification and Keyword Spotting. With this, experts diligently worked to glean insights into the terrorist group’s plans, targets, and potential timelines.

Stratign also designed a compact and rugged system which allowed the agents to carry out clandestine operations on the ground. The Plug and Play capability enabled faster response time for this mission critical situation.

Based on the analyzed intelligence, the agents formulated a tactical response plan to neutralize the terrorist threat. Through timely intervention and well-coordinated efforts, the agents successfully neutralized the terrorist plot, preventing the attack from being executed and safeguarding the lives of potential victims.

As a result of deploying the Unified Satellite Phone Interception System, the customer achieved complete situational awareness over the criminal organization’s satellite-based communications. The agency successfully intercepted and analyzed voice and messaging traffic across multiple satellite networks in real time, enabling accurate identification of key operatives and their communication hierarchy.

Precise geolocation and link analysis allowed investigators to uncover hidden networks, map relationships, and predict operational intent well before execution. The integration of voice forensics further strengthened intelligence confidence by confirming speaker identities and detecting critical keywords linked to the planned attack.
