MICROWAVE LINK INTERCEPTION SYSTEM

MICROWAVE LINK INTERCEPTION SYSTEM

Stratign’s Microwave Link Interception System is a Passive Microwave Monitoring System, which can be used for demodulation, decoding and demultiplexing of radio relay signals.

In a hierarchical telecommunications network, the backhaul portion of the network comprises the intermediate links between the core network, or backbone network, and the small subnetworks at the edge of the network. The most common network type in which backhaul is implemented is a mobile network. Point-to-point microwave systems use directive antennas to focus radio signals like a beam of light and transmit them over line-of-sight distances.
As a result, microwave radio represents a highly effective means of providing long distance service, especially over areas with difficult terrain where the installation of cable is economically or technically impractical. Point-to-Point microwave networks are used by telecom service providers for backhaul communications. Microwaves backhaul is the most used technology by telecom service providers due to a combination of its capability and relative ease of deployment (i.e., no need for trenches/ducting) making it a low-cost option that can be deployed in a matter of days. Most telecom service providers rely heavily rely on microwave backhaul solutions in the 7 GHz to 40 GHz bands, Microwave can be used in LOS or NLOS mode which makes it ideal to be used in a chain, mesh, or ring topology to enable resilience and/or reach.
Stratign’s Microwave Backhaul Interception System is Passive Microwave Monitoring System, which can be used for demodulation, decoding and demultiplexing of radio relay signals. The system provides an automated intercept capability to the operator through the remote-control software, which controls the Antenna, receivers, and the demodulation system through the control workstation. The software also provides access to all the decoded and recorded traffic for online/ offline analysis.
